Find your audio and video settings
There are two way to find your audio and video settings
1. If your video tile is popped out, hover your mouse over your own video window (i.e., your own face), so that a panel appears at the bottom of it. Then, click on the gear icon, and select Video Setup... from the drop-down menu.
2. If both video tiles are in the same VSee window as seen in the image below to the right. Click on the upward arrow icon to the right of the microphone icon for a list of audio devices. Click on the upward arrow icon to the right of the camera icon for a list of camera devices and other settings.

3. If you clicked on Video Setup, you will see a new window appear:

- Microphone: If you see green lines on the video preview when you speak, then your microphone settings are correct. If you don't see any green lines, click on the down arrow (circled in red) to choose another microphone. NOTE: If your microphone setting is correct, but you are still not registering sound, uncheck the box next to Automatically adjust my volume, and ensure that the volume level is not set to zero.
- If you hear an echo when other people speak, but not when you speak, click the "Advanced" link in the Microphone section, and check if the AEC box (audio echo cancellation) is checked.
- Speaker: If you hear a sound when you click on the play button here, then your speaker settings are correct. If you don't hear any sound, check to make sure that your computer volume is turned up high and try again, or click on the down arrow next to the speaker device to choose another set of speakers (like your headset). If you can't hear the test sound, but your computer plays other sounds, try checking to make sure your drivers are working properly.
- Ringing: Not applicable with SecureVideo.
Mute your microphone or camera
1. Hover your mouse over your own video window (i.e., your own face), so that a panel appears at the bottom of it.
2. Or hover the mouse over the bottom of the VSee window.

2. To mute or unmute your microphone, click on the microphone icon in the lower left hand corner or if within the main VSee window, click in the middle along the bottom. Below are images of the microphone icon when it is on (left) and when it is muted (right) as well as in the middle muted:

3. To turn your camera on or off, click on the camera icon in the lower left hand corner or if within the main VSee window, click in the middle along the bottom. Below are images of the camera icon when it is on (left) and when it is muted (right) as well as in the middle muted:

Adjust your video resolution
1. Hover your mouse over your own video window (i.e., your own face), so that a panel appears at the bottom of it.
2. Click on the gear icon in the lower right-hand corner, and select Video Settings from the drop-down menu, then Resolution, and then choose the desired resolution.
- If you want sharper quality, increase your resolution (to High or, if your camera supports it, HD).
- If you want to compensate for a slow or intermitten internet connection, decrease your resolution (to Default or Low).
